1 DAY, 23.08.: MOSCOW, RUSSIA

 Welcome to Moscow. Transfer from airport to a hotel. Accommodation in a standard room. Moscow is the 867 year-old capital of the Russian Federation. A truly iconic, global city, Moscow has played a central role in the development of the Russian state and indeed the world. Moscow was Russia’s capital before Peter the Great moved the capital to his new city, St. Petersburg. But Moscow never lost its intensity or spirit – one that has inspired authors and poets, ensnared the nobility with its charms, and proved to be the center of Soviet mystique during the Cold War. Moscow represents both the Russia of yesterday and the Russia of today. Welcome to the most beautiful cities in the world.

2 DAY, 24.08.:MOSCOW, RUSSIA

Breakfast at the Hotel. Grand City Tour. Lunch. Visit to the Moscow Kremlin which is a symbol of the Russian State, one of the greatest architectural complexes in the world, a treasure house of magnificent relics and monuments of art. For many, the sight of the Kremlin complex in the centre of the city is still loaded with symbolism and history – Moscow was the capital of the former Soviet Union and signs of its previous life are very visible even now. Walk along the Arbat Street. The Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Sightseeing tour of Moscow metro stations. Dinner. Welcome to the «Imperial Russia» Train. Departure from Moscow.

3 DAY, 25.08.: KAZAN, RUSSIA

 Breakfast on board. Arriving to Kazan Railway Station. Grand City Tour «Old Kazan». The Tartar capital is situated on the picturesque banks of the Volga.  Kazan city history is closely connected with the history of civilisations of East and West. Kazan Russia is standing like the Eternal City of Rome on seven hills. Within folklore program “Tugan Avalim” you will enjoy Tartar epic. Kazan sightseeing (Kremlin). Lunch including a master class revealing the secret of Tartar Cuisine. Departure from Kazan. Dinner on board.

4 DAY, 26.08.: YEKATERINBURG, RUSSIA

Breakfast on board. Train arrives in Yekaterinburg railway station. City Tour dedicated to the Last Days of Last Russian Tsar. As part of the excursion you will see the Church on Blood erected to commemorate a tragic historical event, the orthodox monastery with temples that are considered to be pearls of Russian construction. Lunch. You will visit the memorial built at the boundary of two continents (the Europe and Asia). Departure from Yekaterinburg.

DAY 5, 27.08.: NOVOSIBIRSK, RUSSIA

Breakfast on board. Train arrives in Novosibirsk, the third largest city in Russia after Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. It is also the youngest city to exceed the population of a million citizens, being founded in 1893. Lunch. You will reach a region with great history and unique Siberian architectural monuments and nature. Sightseeing tour: Railway museum, Ballet and Opera House, ancient streets,  Ob river esplanade. City tour continued. Dinner. Departure from Novosibirsk.

6 DAY, 28.08.: ON BOARD OF “IMPERIAL RUSSIA”

7 DAY, 29.08.: IRKUTSK, RUSSIA

Breakfast on board. Train arrives at Irkutsk railway station. Irkutsk is a very friendly and interesting city lying in eastern Siberia on the Angara River a tributary of the river Yenisei and takes its name from the river, Irkut. Irkustsk was known as the Paris of Siberia. In contrast to most other Russian cities many beautifully decorated wooden buildings remain in the city.  Tour to the historical city center including a visit to the Decembrist House, the “wooden lace” house, also called the “House of Europe”, the most beautiful and amazing streets of the city – Bolshaya Prospektnaya, today – Karl Marx street. Lunch at a city restaurant. Visit to the Ethnographical museum Taltsy which is located in a picturesque place on the right bank of the Angara river.  Free time at the “130 quarter” – “Irkutskaya Sloboda”, a quarter with reconstructed city buildings of the 19-20 c. Dinner in a restaurant. Departure from Irkutsk.

8 DAY, 30.08.: BAIKAL LAKE, RUSSIA

Breakfast on board. Arrival in port Baikal the world’s oldest and deepest freshwater lake, curves for nearly 400 miles through south-eastern Siberia, north of the Mongolian border. Boat to Listvyanka. Platform observation, Chersky Stone observation point with beautiful view on the southern part of the lake and the source of the Angara River is one of the most favorite places for tourists and photographers. Visit to Baikal Museum which displays the flora and fauna of the lake. Listvyanka sightseeing. Lunch. Visit to local fish and souvenir market. Return to port Baikal. Dinner in the form of a picnic on the shore of the lake.

9 DAY, 31.08.: ULAN UDE, REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA, RUSSIA

Breakfast on board. Arriving to Ulan-Ude. Ethnic and cultural diversity of this area offers a unique understanding of its heritage of the world’s religions. Visit functional churches: Ivolginsky Datsan, Odigitria Cathedral, Holy Trinity Church. You will be welcomed in a Buryat family. Excursion program, reception in a traditional Buryat Yurt and a folklore program. Hospitable Buryats will teach you how to cook the traditional Buryat dish pozy, how to play dice, use a bow, wear a traditional Buryat costume, assemble and disassemble a felt yurt.  Sightseeing tour of this unique city, a convenient location in both strategic and economics ways on the cross-roads of Russia with China and Mongolia. Departure from Ulan-Ude. Dinner on board.

10 DAY, 01.09.: ULAN BATOR, MONGOLIA

Arriving to Ulan Bator. Breakfast. Visit main square and Zaisan. Transfer to Terelj National Park. Arrive to the Camp. Upon arrival to the camp some time will be given to settle yurt and freshen up prior to lunch. Lunch at the yurt camp
After lunch the excursion to the turtle rock and enjoy beautiful scenery of the surrounding area. Hiking tour to the top of overlooking hill to have a general view of the Terelj National Park. You will visit a nomadic family and get introduced to the authentic lifestyle and culture of Mongolian nomads and try traditional dairy food. Horse riding for an hour (optional), disassembling and building of a smaller Mongolian Yurt. Dinner. You will meet the sunset in the wide steppe and observe night stars. Accommodation in Yurts.

11 DAY, 02.09.: ULAN BATOR, MONGOLIA

 Breakfast at the camp. Transfer to Ulan Bator. Despite being the national capital and largest city, Ulan Bator retains a relaxed, small-town atmosphere. It is a very pleasant place to visit and to base yourself for trips around the country. The city has interesting monasteries and museums and excellent cultural shows, so try to spend some time here before heading out to the glorious valleys, steppes or desert of Mongolia. Visit Gandan monastery and the Museum of National History and Bogd Khaan winter palace museum. Lunch Mongolian BBQ. Folk show. Departure from Ulan-Baatar. Dinner on board.

12 DAY, 03.09.: ERLIAN (ERENHOT), MONGOLIA

Breakfast on board. Train arrives in Erlian (Erenhot) a county-level city of the Xilin Gol League, in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, located in the Gobi Desert along the Sino-Mongolian border. Erlian (Erenhot) is a stop on the Trans-Mongolian Railway.  The area around the town, especially a salt lake is known for the discovery of a number of different dinosaurs. Change for Chinese train. Dinner on board.

13 DAY, 04.09.: BEIJING, CHINA

 Breakfast. Train arrives in Beijing a city with more than 3,000 years of recorded history and a centuries-old glorious evolution. Evidence of human ancestry dating back to 700,000 years ago has been found in such places as Zhoukoudian in the southwest part of Beijing, where the remains known as ‘Peking Man’ were found. Visiting Tian’anmen Square – this area can fit about a million people, this is the world’s largest urban area, where the national Museum of China; the House of People’s Meetings, the majestic monument to the National Heroes. Forbidden city. Lunch. Accommodation in a hotel. Dinner at the Restaurant (traditional Beijing duck).

14 DAY, 05.09.: BEIJING, CHINA

Breakfast at the Hotel. Visiting of the Great Chinese Wall. The Great Wall, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections are now in ruins or have disappeared. Lunch. Visiting the Summer Palace in the Haidian District northwest of Beijing City, the Summer Palace is 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from central Beijing. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, it greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape with its famous natural views and cultural interests. Dinner.

15 DAY, 06.09.: BEIJING, CHINA

The exciting adventure throughout Russia to China by Trans-Siberian railway became to its end. You will return home enriched with new knowledge. When you will tell about your impressions, you will be listened to, open-mouthed with surprise.
